Digital NEST is thrilled to announce the Grand Opening of our new technology Hub for underserved communities in Modesto! We are proud to bring this groundbreaking initiative to Modesto to bridge the digital divide and empower underserved communities with access to modern technology, digital skills, and educational resources. Join us on this momentous occasion as we celebrate the beginning of a transformative journey toward a more digitally inclusive and connected community.
At Digital NEST, we believe that access to technology and digital literacy are essential for personal growth, economic opportunities, and community development. Our new Modesto Digital NEST center is focused on filling the needs of the community’s youth by providing them with access to technology and opportunities to gain skills in digital arts, web information & technology, and digital marketing & communication, all while removing the obstacle of cost.
Digital NEST Modesto Key Services:
- Free Computer Access: Our fully equipped computer lab offers free access to computers, high-speed internet, and essential software for community members aged 14-24.
- Career Exploration: We host workshops and events on various digital skills, empowering individuals to thrive in their chosen digital career pathway.
- High-Tech Training: Our Job Training and Career Development program assists young individuals in enhancing their skills and becoming competitive candidates for entry-level, career-track job opportunities. Participants can choose from three pathways:
- Web & Information Technology
- Digital Arts & Technology
- People, Project & Leadership
- Career Development Support: We offer job readiness assistance, including resume building, interview preparation, and access to online job boards.
- Internship Opportunities: Youth members have the chance to join Digital NEST’s Digital Media Agency, a paid two-year internship program that provides hands-on training and mentorship.
