Get Involved

Digital NEST member working in an office

As a community focused organization, Digital NEST emphasizes partnership and collaboration with local professionals, fellow nonprofits, and community businesses.

Be part of the Digital NEST community

There are lots of ways to get involved at the NEST! You can make a lasting different and invest in the future of our community by sharing your expertise with members, helping our team raise funds for new programs, or helping to keep things running smoothly at Digital NEST, either in our workspace or behind the scenes.

Lead a workshop, teach a class, and mentor young people

If you are comfortable with teaching, you can lead a workshop or class yourself. Or, if you would like to co-lead a workshop with staff or get help from staff to develop a workshop, that’s great, too. Some skills we’ve been teaching are video editing and film-making, programming and web design, interviewing and resumes, teamwork and leadership, and personal finance. We are always looking for ways to help our members develop their professional skills, so if you have other expertise, we’d love to hear about it. It’s a flexible format, and can be anything from one-time Q&A to an ongoing structured course: whatever works best for your schedule.

Collaborate on events, fundraising, and strategy

Join our fun, energetic fundraising team, creating opportunities for young people through community events, fundraising drives, and development strategies. Digital NEST trainings and services are free to members thanks to community donations and partnerships. Join us to work on an upcoming event or initiative and see if it’s a good fit for you! If you work in an organization that wants to partner with Digital NEST on a project, let us know how we can collaborate.

Provide staffing support, administrative support, or other expertise

We can always use a few extra hands at Digital NEST. Whether you’d like to help out in the workspace during open hours, help us with database and communications projects in the off hours, or share some of your other skills, we’d love to hear from you.
