Digital NEST Expands to Modesto, Providing Technology Skills and Resources for Local Youth

MODESTO, Calif. – Digital NEST, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering underserved Latinx youth through technology education, is expanding with a new center opening in Modesto, California. This expansion has become possible through partnerships with the Stanislaus Community Foundation (SCF), the Porges Family Foundation, and the City of Modesto.

We are excited to bring Digital NEST’s proven programs to the Modesto community,” said Monica Escamilla, Center Director. “By providing hands-on tech training, professional development, and career opportunities, we aim to equip local youth with the skills and network to thrive in the digital economy.”

Digital NEST offers services, including a free computer lab, career exploration workshops, intensive job training academies, paid internships, and job placement assistance. Programs are tailored to equip youth with technical skills like coding and digital media production as well as professional abilities like communication, critical thinking, and project management.

The Modesto center will give local youth ages 14-24 access to technology, digital skills training, career exploration, internships, and job placement support. Students can choose pathways in web development, graphic design, digital marketing, data science, and more.

“We value inclusion, compassion, multicultural competency, teaching, learning, and growth,” said Antonia Franco, President & Chief Operating Officer of Digital NEST. “Our Modesto center will embody these values and empower young individuals with the tools to succeed in the digital age.”

“At Digital NEST, we believe in preparing all youth for the career opportunities of tomorrow, regardless of background,” said Jacob Martinez, Founder and CEO. “Our expansion to Modesto furthers our mission by increasing access to technology and fostering a vibrant tech industry locally.”

Digital NEST welcomes the Modesto community to explore the possibilities and embark on a journey of personal growth, skill development, and community building. Together with the Stanislaus Community Foundation, Digital NEST is planting the seeds of change, one opportunity at a time.
