“I gained confidence about starting my own hot sauce company.”
New This Fall: Tech Studios
This last fall, we launched our new Tech Studios – project-based, drop-in classes exploring emerging technologies like robotics, coding, and digital content creation. For example, our Content Creators Studio offers practical training in video editing and visual design, which translates directly to careers in marketing, social media, and brand development.
Tech studios spark curiosity while fostering foundational skills like problem-solving, collaboration, and critical thinking. No prior tech experience is required.
Growth and Community In Action
Rodrigo became a regular at the Modesto NEST shortly after signing up as a member earlier this fall. Through consistent engagement in the Content Creators and Digital Arts studios, not only has he produced his own videos, but he also designed a hot sauce label. His confidence was on full display as he imagined an elevator pitch for his creation: “Zesty, but NESTy.”
Moreover, Rodrigo has become more open, curious, and willing to embrace new challenges. He has strengthened his time management and communication skills, and takes ownership of his work. His transformation even inspired his older brother to join.
Their story illustrates the powerful ripple effect of accessible, youth-centered learning: when one young person is empowered to grow and thrive, they often open doors for their peers, siblings, and the wider community.*
Rooted in Success: Help Local Leaders Thrive
At Digital NEST, we believe confidence is the most important thing we grow. It starts as a small seed – a single video edit or a hot sauce label – and quickly spreads, inspiring siblings, friends, and the entire community.
This spring, we invite you to help us support the next group of local leaders. Your gift provides the tools and guidance that allow students like Rodrigo to turn “zesty” ideas into real careers.
