Santa Cruz Industry Mixer: Technology and Innovation in Education

Jacob Martinez has been invited to speak on Tuesday October 13th at Allterra solar for a special discussion about technology and innovation in education with a focus on what’s happening around the Central Coast.

Committed to bringing tech to underserved student populations, Digital NEST founder Jacob Martinez has always had an interest in improving the struggling economy in his community of Watsonville, where the working poor far outnumber the prosperous few. Jacob began envisioning ways to break down the barriers keeping local students from the technology they need and deserve, while fulfilling the unmet needs of Watsonville’s small businesses and entrepreneurs looking for a capable local workforce.

Other speakers include Kevin Bell, Research Fellow – UCSC IDEASS Program, and Sierra Schneider, Williams Residential Program Manager – California Summer School for Mathematics and Science (COSMOS).

Doors open at 5pm with the program commencing at 6pm and will feature food from India Gourmet and locally sourced beer and wine. The event is free but seating is limited so please RSVP.
